5B.1 Notwithstanding anything else written in this Act, the Government of Nepal may transfer to the Service System Board of any area operated and managed by the Institute in accordance with this Act, and it is appropriate and necessary to make appropriate arrangements for water supply and drainage. If seen, the ownership of the service system of that area can be transferred to that board. 5B.2 When the ownership of the service system is transferred in accordance with sub-section 5B.1, the Government of Nepal may assess the ownership of the service system and the property related to it as specified, and assign liability equal to the value of such service system to such board. 5B.3 If the ownership of the service system is transferred according to sub-section 5B.1, the responsibility for providing water and sewerage in the relevant area, maintenance, protection, operation and management of the service system will be the responsibility of the board to which the ownership is transferred.
